F.A.Q, Terms and Conditions

 

1. How do I consume and keep my Lapis fresh?

Madam Lee's Lapis is 100% homemade with no added preservatives, no added artificial flavouring, no pork and no lard. It is handmade and individually rolled, hence it is very precious. These are steps to keep our precious lapis fresh and long lasting. 

  • Best served within 3 days upon unsealing. Consume it in the room temperature to get the best texture, aroma & flavour of our lapis. For Cheezelnut lapis, it's best served slightly warm as the chocolate will melt
  • Sealed and unopened lapis in chiller (<4°C) can be kept up to the expiry date stated below the box.
  • Serving/Heating Instructions: From the chiller, please cut and thaw slices approximately 2-12 hours to reach room temperature and to regain the original texture. You may also microwave it to slightly warm, especially for Cheezelnut.
  • Storing Instructions: Upon opening the pack, please properly wrap the leftover with cling-wrap  and put in the air-tight box or ziplock bag before putting it in the chiller (<4°C). This is to minimise lost of moisture and to prevent contamination from other food and smell. It would last approximately 2 week in the chiller under proper treatment mentioned above.
  • Similar to all other food products, please do not allow the leftover under frequent temperature change, i.e. chilling and thawing repeatedly, as it will shorten the shelf-life of food.

2. How do I consume and keep my Bika Ambon Medan (BAM) fresh?

BAM is highly perishable therefore:

  • Please keep it chill at all time. Sealed and unopened BAM in 4 °C chiller can be kept up to the expiry date stated below the box or 14 days upon delivery.
  • Best served within 3 days upon unsealing. Consume it warm to get the best texture, aroma & flavour of our BAM.
  • Heating Instructions: For the first time, you can steam the sealed pack of BAM by at least 25 minutes (food grade plastic bag is safe to be steamed). Subsequently, you can reheat the BAM by baking it inside aluminum foil for 25 mins at 200C to regain the texture and moisture.
  • Storing Instructions: Upon opening the pack, please properly wrap the leftover with cling-wrap  and put in the air-tight box or ziplock bag before putting it in the chiller (<4 °C). This is to minimise lost of moisture and to prevent contamination from other food and smell. It would last approximately 1 week in the chiller under proper treatment mentioned above.
  • Similar to all other food products, please do not allow the leftover under frequent temperature change, i.e. chilling and thawing repeatedly, as it will shorten the shelf-life of food.

3. How do I consume and keep my Rissoles and Carrot Cake?

  • Keep them frozen
  • Cooking instruction:
    • Thaw overnight in chiller or skip this
    • Airfry 5-12 mins at 180C or deep fry till golden brown
    • Dilute the concentrated chilli to your likeness with warm water

4. How do I consume and keep my Cai Bao?

  • Keep them frozen
  • Cooking instruction:
    • Thaw overnight in chiller or skip this
    • Prepare boiled water and steam at medium heat for 15 mins or the caibao's skin softens
    • Dilute the concentrated chilli to your likeness with warm water

3. Are the products Halal?

Our products are not Halal-certified. However, they don't contain pork nor lard. All ingredients are Halal and we can provide the list upon request. Our Bika Ambon Medan doesn't contain alcohol or tuak, we use air nira instead. We are in the process of acquiring Halal certification hopefully by 2023.

Mie Tiong Sim contains pork. It is prepared and packed by other company:  Tiong Sim.

    4. How do I order for corporate or bulk order?

    5. Do you do delivery?

    Delivery is available except near CNY. Delivery fee is $12 within 16km from Tiong Bahru, else $16. Purchase above $200 gets $12 off from the delivery fee.

    6. Where is the location for self-collection?

    Self-collection will be at Tiong Bahru area.

    7. Food Allergies?

    Products contains milk and may contain nuts. Manufactured in the facilities that also process nuts.

    8. Refund Policy

    Since lapis is perishable, we do not accept refund. We will exchange the same product under special circumstance.

    9. Order Confirmation

    Order or reservation will only be honoured if full payment has been made.
